Troubleshooting
The following is a list of symptoms along with troubleshooting steps that should be attempted to treat each problem.
The plotter is not plotting any data
- Check if data is being streamed to the computer by the reader. This can be done by monitoring UDP packets received by the computer using software like Wireshark (udp.port == 2000 filter).
- If no data is being received, troubleshoot your radars and tags.
- If you are receiving UDP messages from a radar, make sure that the computer's firewall is not preventing those messages from reaching the Plotter.
warning
UDP messages can be received in Wireshark while simultaneously being blocked by the firewall from reaching the Plotter. Witnessing UDP activity on port 2000 in Wireshark while simultaneously not seeing any tag displayed in the Plotter is usually a sign of firewall-related issues. Consider using a clean laptop, unmanaged by IT, if such issues persist. Atheraxon can also help in procurring and configuring one, if needed.
