Troubleshooting
The following is a list of symptoms along with troubleshooting steps that should be attempted to treat each problem.
The reader is not sending any data to its intended recipient:
- Make sure that the computer was assigned the IP address written in the
settings.csv
files on the radar SD cards. If not, change the files or change the computer’s IP address. - Make sure that the readers are connected to the network. This can be inferred by a high level of activity on the Ethernet LEDs, by finding the radars’ MAC addresses on the network map or via terminal connection to the radar (contact us for that last one, if needed).
- If none of that works, turn the reader off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on again.
The system displays an unusually short range:
- Make sure that the tags and radar have proper relative orientations.
- If that doesn’t work, try with a different tag.
- If none of that works, try rebooting the radar by toggling its power switch.
